I need some advice on my Rottweiler. Sometimes when we’re outside and he gets really excited, he jumps on me and nips/bites. It’s normal excited puppy behavior with the body slamming and play bows, minus the biting. Has anyone else experienced this? What did you do? I can’t just turn around, he will do it from behind too so that’s not a solution. I’m hesitant to be too harsh with him because this is one of the only times I see him really very excited playing and he’s very happy, but the nipping is obviously concerning.

I should also add that if I put my hand in his mouth, he won’t bite it. That’s not his goal, if that makes sense.
