We broke up five days ago and have been no contact since. His birthday is a little over two weeks from today. We ended on good terms and I want to be cordial with each other. My logic is if it were my birthday and he didn’t wish me a happy birthday it would feel like a fuck you. But honestly if the roles were reversed i don’t think he would wish me a happy birthday. He’s very passive. My motive is not to get back together, I just want to be respectful and let him know I still care about him. But my friend and therapist seem to think I shouldn’t text him, is this a bad idea? Please let me know what you think!
