Factory Electrical Issue- fixed

Just really an FYI in case this happened to anyone else or in case it can help anyone.
We bought my passport in November and we have really loved it! However, as it warmed up we started to experience an occasional foul odor from the AC, kinda musky/sour/vinegar like (which apparently is Freon). It would go away within a few minutes and did not happen every time. There were also times I noticed the AC just wasn’t great considering it’s a brand new car, especially when idling.
So we brought it into the dealership, they were super great. Turns out it was a fuse missing from the factory for the AC unit. I don’t know the exact details but it caused it to overheat at times and actually ended up contaminating the entire AC unit. For just a fuse missing it caused them to have to replace the entire ac unit (about $7k in parts/labor). So after about 3 weeks in the dealership I got my car back 🙌🏼 So thankful for warranty!
Honda overall was great, my specific dealer was easy to communicate with and Honda approved a rental car within a few days of it being in the dealership.
This probably can apply to any car, but don’t ignore things !
