I want to keep pursuing my education and I KNOW I shot myself in the foot with an MET degree (even though I find it alright and fun at times :D). I am taking the FE exam real soon and I feel confident about it.

Recently I've been wondering if anyone who is in the mechatronics engineering field had a similar start to their careers, by that I mean they majored in ME or EE as an example and they went back for a master's or just got lucky with a job choosing them. How did you do it?

I enjoy what I do right now but the more I read about mechatronic engineering the more I feel like I'm missing out. There is a job position for an entry mechatronic engineer around my area which I'll apply to, but if they do reply I'll probably leave my current job (I usually apply and see if they answer me at all because it's interesting to see what people will say).

To be honest I just need to make a decision because I'm getting older and I know how the cliche goes, HOWEVER I keep debating on going to school and fully investing my time on my education. I eventually want to get into prosthetic/bionic work (IK it's vague), but I know that's a long time away especially with my skills, but the mechatronic engineering field sounds so interesting.

Honestly any advice private or public would be appreciated. I just need someone to tell me if this is something I should even be considering in my position.
