Sorry for the rant.

I'm coming from a PC gaming background. This year I started to dip my toes into boardgames. I was hit with a huge reality check.

After the cost of entry, PC gaming is incredibly cheap. Consoles as well. I guess I was naive and expected the same for board games. Hell, I expected even cheaper games. With PC gaming now the norm of 70 and 80 brand new games, I buy PC games on sale on steam for less than 10 bucks.

Then I bought Arkham Horror Chapter 2 core set. I'm hooked immediately. I go to buy another expansion. They're out of stock. Huh, that's a novel concept to me. Everything digital is always in stock because there's an infinite supply. No worries, let check on eBay. What?! Hundreds of dollars for a used copy of cardboard? Okay, let's just let the stores get more in stock. What?! It's out of print forever! Wtf is this BS? The company just doesn't want to sell to us for some reason? No print on demand?

Okay, so maybe Arkham isn't for me. Let's try Lord of the Rings the card game. Guess what? Same issue!

Okay, moving on, Nemesis (2018) looks fun. Guess what? SAME ISSUE!

This hobby has some serious issues and makes me want to bounce off it hard.

End rant.

Edit: Not to mention the FOMO everywhere. Limited edition Gamgenic deck boxes, playmats, etc.
