Switching VIP Team?

I'm an FYE student in the VIP LC and my VIP team was reassigned yesterday (due to my initial choice lacking enrollment) to a team I really don't like and wasn't on my list at all.

I went through the list of other teams, and found a couple that fit my interests a lot more. Is it possible for me to switch into one of these other teams this first week? I already emailed the professors asking for permission.

If/when I get it approved, what should my next steps be? I'm unable to make any changes to the Scheduler right now, besides straight up dropping the VIP 17900 course entirely. Should I just do that, show up to the VIP I want/get into, and then let the VIP team know so they can add it to my schedule? Is all of this even possible?

FYE to IBE? Business options for engineers?

Hi y'all - incoming FYE first-year in VIP here! Was just curious and looking for some info/advice from any other engineering students who want to combine their engineering major with something finance/business related.

I came across the IBE program, which I find interesting, but I'm curious as to how it differs in the first-year from FYE? As far as I understand it, it's not under the College of Engineering, but a lot of the core first-year curriculum is identical with some accounting/economics classes thrown in.

For someone interested in both engineering and finance, would you recommend trying to CODO into the IBE major after my first or second semester? And, if so, what classes should I plan on taking outside of just the regular FYE requirements? Should I try to enroll myself in an accounting or economics class.

Thanks in advance for the help! Looking forward to coming to campus.
