Need advice on floor colour.
We just bought this gorgeous mid-century home and are obsessed with these ceilings. We plan to keep a mid-century vibe and theme for our final decor and would like to keep wood texture flooring. This is the listing photo, not ours.
The flooring is in great condition and is a lot less orange than this in person (think driftwood or like gold or natural oak), however each room of the house has different materials and colours and we just want to redo everything so its the same throughout the house. (some rooms are original hardwood, some are LVP, mismatch carpet etc).
I typically prefer light-medium walnut over any sort of light / natural stains, however I am concerned that changing this to a walnut would be too dark given the ceiling.
Thoughts?
*Important to note that all of their lighting appears to be around 2000k and is VERY warm, giving every room a very yellow/ orange appearance., The walls in this room are actually off-white not beige. (We will also be changing that)
*Edit to add - we intend to "unflip" the 2000s renos they've done and try to get it back closer to its origins. I am aware nothing you are seeing indicates mid-century style, but it's a mid-century home.
We have already checked and the original hardwood is not carried throughout the entire home.
