Bought my pitt boss 850dx 2 months ago, love it!

I've been reading that some people have replaced the flame broil kits to stainless steel from the OEM carbon steel as it's better heat distribution and better corrosion resistance. Thoughts? Suggestions. Any experience?

Randomly walked by steaks in Costco north Atlanta and they had filet mignon manager special $6.99 lb 👀👀👀

First time on the Pitboss, the reverse sear and it came out amazing. I bought about $400 worth of steak, sooo I'm vacuum sealing now for the next few hours.

Replaced my 15 year old Nexgrill with the 5 burner Members Mark (Sam's Club) brand.

Got it on sale for $299, I have to say I'm impressed with it. Seems sturdy, burgers came out amazing and overall everything worked as advertised.

Did chicken wings and corn this evening, burgers last night. Definitely happy with it.

Just assembled the Members Mark brand 5 burner gas grill from Sam's club, which is replacing my old grill of 12 years, RIP. Really impressed with the quality for the price. Cooking steaks on it tonight, we'll see how it does.

Between this and the Pitboss Pellet Grill bought last month, I'm never going to leave my house 👀

For some reason I can't post it on the original thread but overall the brisket came out nice. The lack of sleep for 24 hours finally hit. Then the cleaning was fun since the cook was so long, I didn't want to risk a grease fire.

Some things I'll do on the next brisket since I learned here.

1. using a flame tame next time. I did notice the heat spot on this unit for how long it was.

2. the crust came out good, probably a bit more salt and pepper to code more. But overall, everyone was satisfied.

Today tore it apart, cleaned, scrapped, degreased and another season burn off.

Came out great, IMO. People came back for 2nds and 3rds.

Here. We. Go! First brisket ever. We'll see how this goes tonight.

I recently bought the Pit Boss 850dx from Lowe's on sale this month. Fully assembled and delivered.

I completed my first smoke session with sockeye salmon, and I wasn't disappointed. The wife and friends we had over thoroughly enjoyed the salmon and corn on the cob that was smoked. I meant to take after pics but everything was eaten before I could take em!

The only gripe I had was the plugin thermostat was up to 20 degree variance vs my instant digital thermometer. My brother who has been smoking for a decade said this is a typical problem with these, he has a Traeger, regardless of brand. He suggested to purchase Chef IQ wireless, which he swears by. I picked them up on sale at Costco for $59, so we'll see how well they work this weekend with the planned chicken.

I was debating replacing my gas grill fully with this but decided to keep them as they do things well the other doesn't.

Overall I'm happy with the purchase and look forward to many uses!
