Hi everyone,
I’m participating in the bike race to support the Eagles Autism Foundation, which helps fund autism research and programs for individuals and families affected by autism.
This cause is really meaningful to me, and I’m trying to raise donations before race day. Every dollar goes toward research, resources, advocacy, and support services that can make a real difference.
If anyone would like to donate or share the fundraiser, I’d truly appreciate it. Even small donations help and sharing the link can go a long way too.
Thank you so much for the support 🦅💚

At around 4:47 PM today, I got a call from my doctor, who I tried to get ahold of since morning- I was told he was on-call for emergency prescriptions. The note on. the office said closed due to technical issues. Another patient was there for appt and couldn’t get in or leave a message.
He told me he’s unable to send my prescription because he “forgot to renew his DEA license.” He also said their office has been without internet and has been closed since last Thursday.
He apologized and said he doesn’t currently have anyone he’s coordinating care with for patients. He mentioned that it can take a long time to get DEA approval reinstated, so he can’t prescribe my medication right now.
He gave me a couple of pain clinic phone numbers and said that if I find a provider, they can call him to coordinate transfer of care — but he hasn’t actually contacted anyone himself about transitioning patients.
I’m honestly confused and stressed about what I’m supposed to do next. I wasn’t expecting to suddenly be without a prescription like this.
Has anyone been in a situation like this before? What are the realistic next steps when a prescriber can no longer legally refill your medication on short notice?
I am currently taking 15 mg oxycodone four times a day and 30 mg of MS contin 2 x day. He also prescribes my adderall and valium, when needed.
******If you feel the need to comment on what I am prescribed (and the “quack” doc isn’t the one who put me in my daily meds- I was in PM, and there was zero issue with my meds) and that I am not going to get what I need- I don’t CARE! I am in serious panic for a legitimate reason. I have been w my doc for years and he’s never rubbed me the wrong way. So please don’t comment if you have nothing helpful to say! And FFS! I pray this NEVER happens to anyone one of you
*****UPDATE*****
Thanks to whomever recommended “concierge “ doc. I found two that are specifically PM docs. Since I am uninsured, I have to pay OOP anyway. Apparently “concierge “ docs (FFS) don’t have the DEA breathing down their backs. Fingers crossed I get a call tomorrow- I was told they may take me without disruption of my meds, although I’m already out Tomorrows gonna SUCK
I just called my doc to ask for my monthly refill It’s due today and they never have a problem. I called 3 times and got the answering service- They told me they called them early and said their office is CLOSED until further notice. Ok. What am i supposed to do? Someone please tell me not to panic.
My son is 22. He hasn’t taken too well with the label of being “autistic “ He doesn’t understand that autism doesn’t define him, and he seems depressed, stuck and angry. He will not visit a doctor or therapist. He will not take meds. He says just give him time- Does anyone have any support or advice?
