Might have HSV2, but I'm not really upset?
Hey guys, I (21F) think I contracted Hsv2 from a recent hookup, but I'm not really as bothered as I feel like I should be?
I knew his status and the risk even with protection. I shaved right before so it could also be some unfortunate razor bumps, but even if it is Hsv2 I'm not really all that anxious when everywhere I look online about it people are freaking out. If anything I'm just a bit sore and mildly irritated. I'm of course going to get tested so I know if I need to disclose to future partners.
I just feel like I should care more, especially considering I like to casually date and hook up, like I'm waiting for it to hit me and I'll be suddenly really upset? Let me know any useful advice you guys might have for dealing with it mentally :) !
