I’m really worried to give birth here!!! Last night I was sent to triage by my midwife at king George’s and it was extremely busy, I was seen after around 5 hours and then they didn’t even write anything in my notes and just did a glucose and ketone test.

They were meant to prescribe me blood thinning injections as I have to start taking them at 28 weeks (25+2) and I don’t see the consultant until after 29 weeks, they didn’t even acknowledge it as my midwife who sent me wrote it in my book for them and I brought it up. They just sent me home with nothing??

The staff were all incredibly rude and I witnessed them being so rude to other patients. Some women had been waiting over 9 hours for a booked appointment, I can acknowledge they’re understaffed, but I’m surprised at how small the triage is. I had my past two children at hinchingbrooke hospital in Huntingdon as i previously lived in that area and that triage and wards were much bigger too. The patient care was a lot better there.

Just really concerned about giving birth there, I’ve read such bad things. Thanks

Just had my midwife appointment at king George’s, my urine had 3+++ urine and they were really worried about kidney damage as I’m drinking around 4/5 litres a day.

I had GD in my previous pregnancy and they were late booking my next test in (end of may and I’ll be 29 weeks) I’m certain I have it as I have all the symptoms.

She’s sent me now to maternity triage at queens, I’ve googled and it looks quite serious for proteins to be that high, it also mentions migraines and I was recently prescribed sumatripan for them as I’d been getting them constantly.

Had anyone else experienced this? Thanks so much!!
