AITA for accidentally shaking my butt at a guy staring at me in the grocery store?

English is not my first language, and i am also writing this on my phone so sorry for any spelling mistakes

A couple of weeks ago my boyfriend(28m) and i (26f) were at the grocery store together for a late night snack. While we were standing in the line checking out,i noticed this guy in another line staring at my butt.

At first i tried to ignore it,but every time i shifted or glanced over, he was still looking. He wasn't even really making eye contact with me either-just very obviously staring at my ass the whole time.I moved around, glared at him a couple times and tried to make it obvious that i noticed and wanted him to stop. I even tried to signal the girl standing next to him to make him stop, but nothing happened. My bf noticed too and basically told me to just leave it alone becuase it wasn't worth causing a scene.

So i tried to let it go.

But like two minutes later i looked back and the guy was still staring. And honestly,i genuinely don't know what came over me ,but you know when someone is staring at you but at the same time not really becuase they are zoning out?And you are trying to snap them out of it by waving your hand or something to get their attention?

Well for some reason my brain decided that instead of using my hand...i should shake my butt at him to get his attention. Again, i don't know what came over me.Maybe becuase his eyes were already there or something?

Not twerking or anything insane though, just a quick awkward motion.

Anyway,it got his attention and unfortunately my boyfriend's and the girl who i assumed was his friend or maybe gf ,who looked angry at me.

I regretted doing that as soon as i did it and tried to explain that i was trying to get the guy to realize that i notice him staring, but my bf thought it looked flirty and inappropriate.

He said that it looked less i was calling him out and more like i was encouraging his behaviour (i can agree to some extent). We had a small argument in the car,but eventually moved past it.

Fast forward to yesterday,we were having a game night with some friends and embarrassing stories somehow came up. i ended up telling this story because while i was ashamed at first, honestly ,looking back now it's just funny.

Everybody laughed,except my bf.

After everyone left,he got really upset with me and said there was absolutely no reason to tell people that story becuase it made me sound like i was "acting like a slut" right in front of him.He also said that it felt like i was publicly making him look bad for not stepping in when the guy was starring at me.

I told him it wasn't my intention at all since even tho i was mad that he didn't really do anything back then, its been weeks and i was mostly making fun of myself becuase it was such a bizarre impulsive thing to do.But now he is genuinely angry again and says that i embarrassed him in front of our friends.

Aita?
