Struggling to find a 310T apprenticeship. Currently finishing up my final semester at Centennial College

After I complete my final English course on August, I’ll be graduating from the Motive Power - Truck and Coach Program at Centennial College.

I’ve applied to a several apprenticeship positions and I’m only getting rejections. I unfortunately don’t have any real hands on experience in the shop, so that might be why I’m struggling.

I just updated my resume and write cover letters for each application about a week back. So hopefully that helps.

For those already in the trade who went the college route, how did you get your first apprenticeship? Every job apprenticeship posting on job sites requires applicants to be registered with 2-3 years of experience.

Any leads you could provide would be highly appreciated.

I also do have some tools and my own personal vehicles, so I’m willing to commute anywhere within the GTAH.

Thanks,
😊
