Hello!

I just dropped off 4 things I sold on eBay.

It was just before RM collected everything from the post office so I was quite pleased that I had made it.

When I checked my receipt one of my 4 items was not on the receipt.

I went back to the counter and asked if they could reprint my receipt. I was told they couldn't check the status of the parcel or print a new receipt because the system wouldn't allow it.

Now, on eBay it says that my other parcels have been "courier scanned" while the missing one just says label created. If I put the tracking number into the RM website it says they expecting the parcel.

Am I to pessimistically assume that I'll be refunding my buyer and Royal Mail will say that without a receipt there's nothing they can do?

...or is it likely to get scanned later tonight and all turn out fine?

I've got my theory test passed and am ready to start lessons.

It looks like a lot of the big brands are actually just individual contractors now. That makes me think I'm just paying a middle man, which makes me think it might be better to go with an independent.

How did you find your instructor?

I've worked on a fair amount of video productions but mainly make podcasts where mics on screen isn't a problem. I've been asked to work on a couple of video shoots that will require me to hire/buy some specific mics (shotgun & lavs) and I'm trying to work out if it's economically worthwhile.

Is £200 including kit for half a day a reasonable fee? Looking at the numbers and kit costs feels like it's hard to make it work.
