I am the candidate of a church search right now in rural Montana. I have completed the questionnaire they sent candidates and next I assume they will move to an interview phase. My question is this, how can i even start to prepare myself for this interview and what things might increase my chances for being chosen?

My wife is interviewing for a job to work on Maui as a Sign Language interpreter. We have been looking at prices for cost of living, rent, daycare for at least 2 kids possibly a third for kindergarten if we do not opt to do public school, groceries, the whole 9.
The contract guarantees 80,000 in a year, and i would work as well, hopefully pulling in another 40-45,000/year. Do these numbers seem doable for Maui or are we just barking up the wrong tree? We are hoping to pay down some debt and maybe come out a bit ahead.
The contract offers relocation costs to the island, we do not know the extent though. We would also ideally bring our dog with us.
