I have a bachelors in mathematics from 2018, but I wish I studied chemistry, biology, or biochemistry... Is there a specific degree (like medicinal chemistry?) that I need to get to get into the field of creating medicine? What other steps do I need to take?

I'm trying to decide which pharmacy technician program to go for. Is an externship very important and would it help me get a job without any prior experience?
