Anyone Stayed at Sugar Marina POP Kata Recently? Need Honest Opinions

Hi everyone,

I'm considering booking Sugar Marina Resort POP Kata Beach for a 10-night stay with my family (including a 1.5 year old child), and I'd really appreciate feedback from anyone who has stayed there recently.

A few questions:

  • How are the rooms overall? Are they clean, modern, and well-maintained?
  • How is the breakfast after several days? Is there enough variety for a 10-day stay, or does it become repetitive?
  • Is the pool clean and well-maintained? Would you consider it suitable and safe for young children?
  • How noisy is the hotel during the day and at night for a pool access room?
  • How far is the actual walk to Kata Beach with a stroller?
  • Are the sidewalks and roads around the hotel stroller-friendly?
  • How is the Wi-Fi?
  • Any issues with mosquitoes, mold, bad smells, or maintenance?
  • How helpful is the staff when dealing with requests or problems?
  • If you've stayed during July or August, how was the weather and did rain affect your holiday significantly?

Most importantly, if you had a budget similar to Sugar Marina POP Kata, would you book it again, or is there a better hotel in Kata, Karon, or Phuket in general that offers better value for money, especially for families with kids and a nice pool?

Any pros, cons, tips, or things you wish you had known before booking would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
