I waited a bit for the hack to get updated, and that wait was most certainly worth it. I'm quite excited for the future of GBA Johto projects with this existing and being incredibly well-constructed, allowing the region to stand on its own without Kanto, especially with how the game adds innates to each Pokémon after they reach Level 75, 85, and 95. I also quite enjoy the dynamic difficulty options. Quite a good hackrom overall.

[Modern Heart & Soul]

HnS now merged with Modern Emerald mechanics. Pretty good Johto/Kanto romp. I love the gen 1 hyper beam mechanics option.

[Pokémon Pisces]

This team is one of my favorites that I have used in any Pokémon playthrough. And, after playing through the game twice now (this is my second run, my first one was over a year ago) and I'd say Pisces is at its worst in the beginning (1st-5th gyms: it just feels kind of tedious and slow compared to later on; however, the game really picks up afterwards, especially starting in New Mauville. The attachment with the titles given to each team member (ie "The Omen of Hellfire") is based on a similar image made of the TPP team.

Overall, though, Pisces is really, really solid. I love what it does to Hoenn and all the new fakemon that have come with those changes to it.

[Touhoumon World Link Revised]

I dont know too much about touhou, but this was *really* good. I do appreciate that every type gets one "ultimate" move (120bp, 85% acc) and the fact that sandbox mode exists.

[PokéCave Almerald]

Emerald with the dragonic beasts of DragonCave (online creator collector with some wonderful sprite art) as your pocket monsters. I spent a good while digging through the documentation. Overall, it's quite a good time. The 3rd slide is an alternative HoF using the sprites of the dragons from DragonCave, done in IbisPaintX.

[Pokémon Y]

Legends ZA did XY justice. I wish I could've used Mega Garchomp during a playthrough. Originally had a Staraptor and the Route 12 gift Lapras, but switched them out for Azumarill and Yveltal.

[Fool's Gold] Mono-Poison ☣️

(Completed 6/12/26) Even though Fool's Gold still has the base HM mechanics, it is still an incredible hack. This mono-run was quite enjoyable.

[Plaguemon: Lost Diaries]

Plaguemon, whilst not at a level of RBY hacking like Brown is, is still fairly decent; however, the sheer gall the game has is fairly off-putting. The creator's spritework here is wonderful, and the custom music and altered battle POV were quite fun. I'm adamantly sat for Plaguemon II since Lost Diaries provides a good basis for what the creator, Hikikomori, can do within a year's time. The time constraint of this hack's creation I feel do explain the crashes that do occur (especially around victory road). Overall, it's quite decent, though it may need to be toned down a notch (for me, at least). I used a "normal font" patch since the base font for this hack was a bit irritating to read, though.

[Pokémon Crippling Medical Debt]

The photo order on Reddit Mobile keeps messing up, so thats why you'll probably see the stats of my playthrough before the team. Excadrill is insane. Fun game overall.

[Fakémon FireRed V2.0] HoF + Bonus

Does anyone remember that "All Pokémon cries + mega evolutions" video by TheSonicgamesfan? I remember watching it a while back and wanted to pay homage to it by making similar "stills" for each of my team members for this hack (i couldn't really find the original images for Fairy, Fire, or Bug). This hack is pretty good, I really like all the fun new fakemon. They're very silly little guys :3

[Crystal Inheritance]

Top 3 Crystal hacks alongside Prism and Black/White 3 Genesis. I always love getting to use Hisuian Samurott (Volo and his eight-memeber-team-no-healing-between stuff can go kick rocks [he remanifested as the Rouge Mega Rush].)

[Pokémon Amethyst] Amazing hack + blurb abt where I have been.

Hai! Its been a bit since ive posted here, apologies for the disappearance, but I have been playing hacks still (granted at a slower pace than I used to [executive dysfunction may b at play]). The reason I kind of backed away from hacks for a while is in part due to burnout and the community being...the community. I was playing a fair amount of difficulty hacks (Null comes to mine) which contain MANY battles between NPCs which can get a bit repetitive fast (especially when going through a familiar region like Hoenn). Along with this, the whole debacle with Elite Redux's debug mode left a sour taste in my mouth in terms of the rom hack community (seriously, its a bit odd to be so hateful of children whilst the reason Pokémon caught on so hard in the west was due to children in the 90s...). Henceforth, I took a break. Gradually, I played some hacks that I found interesting (RBY Nova and Sunset are some that I can think of), then Tomodachi Life LTD came out and I got sidetracked from playing hacks. Eventually, though, after a while, I decided I wanted to hop back in and play a new hack from the Hackdex: Amethyst. And let me tell you, it is *good.* Imagine if Unbound was merged with the older style of rom hacks: that is Amethyst. A very high quality hack all around. High reccomend that one plays if they liked Unbound. This team I used is comprised of Pokémon i haven't really used before. They were all quite good! (Apologies if this text is a bit rambly lolz)
