NHS bursary 5th year

Hello, I am completing the NHS bursary application for my 5th year of medical school as a fourth year medical student. I am confused about the question on the application "Do you pay rent" because of two conflicting sections on the step by step guide on the bursary website. I will be paying rent next year as I am staying in student housing so I should select yes however, I will not be declaring any income because I have no taxable income (I work as a HCA at the weekends) and the section in income states "if you are not declaring any income... Do not declare any expenses such as your rent". So what do I do, I'd really appreciate any help or guidance.

NHS Bursary for 5th yr - what do i say for expensives section for paying rent?

It's asking: Your expenses; Do you pay rent? Select 'yes' if you pay to live in a property you do not own.

I will be living in housing with friends next year (same house i've lived in previously). i will get some maintenance loan. i have no taxable income.

i asked gemini what to put and they said no because "the Your expenses section has only one purpose: to find out if you have outgoings that can be subtracted from your personal income to lower your overall financial assessment. Because you already declared your personal income is £0, you have no income to deduct anything from."

but surely the house i will be living in is a place where i am paying rent so i'd say yes right?
