Honeymoon - husband family/friends constantly checking up on him

I hope everyone is well
I (29F) just returned from my honeymoon to Malaysia with my husband (29M).
It was lovely but I have a question whether this is normal or not.
My husband received phone calls and text messages from family (mum, dad, aunties) and friends almost daily asking how things are, congratulating him on the wedding, where we are etc. He would always answer and reply. Sometimes he would take the call when we are out enjoying ourselves together and ask me to give him a minute. He would even let them know when we arrive/leave places or sometimes plans for the day.
My side on the other hand would never even think to call or message at such a personal holiday especially being newly married unless something was wrong. So I found it quite odd. When my brother got married, we didn't "bother" him at all with his wife.
Is this not a time family and friends should respect the privacy of the new couple? We were only gone for 1 week.
To add, my husband is a known traveller and is quite independent. So I don't think his family are worried for him as he has done hundreds of solo trips.
Any advice would be great.
