Can be anywhere in NW Ark. looking for a classic place to take my son for his 21st birthday. The older the better with a nice atmosphere. Price really isn’t an issue (but I ain’t rich).
Ok this is harder than I thought. Jim’s is in contention. Twin Lion on Braker just to save an old school Chinese restaurant. I’m going to land on County Line. Both locations are so unique and Austiny and would hate to see condos replace them.
For me it was a place on 34th street in the 90s next to Seton. Neat old building and the best muffaletta ever! Only there a year or two. Even though I bowled there a lot, only ate at Dart Bowl once.
My son and I have eaten twice at Taco Palenque which I like, but we ordered wrong I guess because we both talk about it still. My last Olive Garden meal was just soup and salad and so hit the spot!
Ok, what restaurant is your guilty pleasure? Even if it doesn’t have the best reviews or even great food, for whatever reason it holds a special place for you. I’ll start. I love County Line. I don’t care what anyone says, I’ve always enjoyed the ambiance and I’ve never had a bad meal there. Another is Kim Phung. I have never had hot and sour soup as good as theirs. I know other places get better reviews, but to me it’s still the best. I still like Chuys even if it’s not as good as it once was (at least for happy hour). Short Stop burgers are nostalgic for sure. And for $2 a slice, you can’t beat Sam’s pizza.
I was first introduced to Nashville chicken at Hattie Bs in Nashville. Fell in love. My son loves Tumble 22 and it’s pretty good. Haven’t been to Hattie Bs here. So how do you think they compare?
