Prescription clarification
Has anyone else had a tirzepatide prescription come through like this, where the dosing instructions weren’t listed in a clear chronological titration order?
Mine was written as:
10 mg (0.55 mL)
12.5 mg (0.69 mL)
15 mg (0.83 mL)
5 mg (0.55 mL)
7.5 mg (0.42 mL)
Because it wasn’t laid out in a step-by-step progression, I ended up starting at the wrong (much stronger) dose, which led to significant nausea during my first month.
At the time, I reached out to my prescriber because of the nausea and asked to stay on what I believed was the 5 mg dose for as long as possible. He agreed and said he would adjust my next prescription accordingly.
Only recently did I realize there may have been a misunderstanding and that I had likely been using the vials out of order, which would explain the side effects.
Now that I understand what likely happened, I’d like to go back to the intended titration schedule. However, when I reach out to the clinic staff, they say they can’t assist with “shipping information,” even though I’m inquiring about my next prescription and my next shipment isn’t due until June 22nd.
Has anyone else experienced confusion like this with how their dosing schedule was presented or handled?
