Lucid dreams
A: Humans are quite strange. We just got our first human crew member, a person named Jonny. To most, he is kind of a strange but helpful person, but to a psychic like me, being around him tends to be… annoying
Jonny is in the kitchen eating, humming to himself, which isn't that bad except he is thinking the lyrics to the song he's humming, and it's like a boombox to most of the psychics on the ship.
A: Could you please stop that racket?
H: Hmm? What are you talking about, Zeeka?
He asks, completely unaware of how loud his thoughts are.
A: That song is like playing something on a loudspeaker; please think of anything else!
He paused and blinked before going "oh."
H: Sorry, didn't know it worked like that for y'all. I'll try to keep my head quiet.
He said as the song stops making them sigh in relief.
A: We would later learn humans think even as they sleep.
Johnny is asleep on the couch in the main room on the ship, and they hear some random noises coming from his head.
A: Is he…thinking in his sleep?
A2: Yeah, it's something humans do when sleeping; it's apparently called "dreaming," I think?
A: Hmm, oh, you want to go into his head to mess with him?
I would ask mischievously, having no idea what I was getting into.
A2: Of course you need to ask.
We would go into this dream world; to us it's much like an interactive movie, seeing Johnny as some kind of waiter to a restaurant filled with…giant fish. The sight was so hilarious we laughed, but that's when everything changed as Johnny heard the laughing and paused and turned to us as if a character in a film suddenly became self-aware.
H: The hell, why are you two…oh wait, am I?
He slaps his cheeks and doesn't feel a sting.
H: Hahaha, sweet! I'm dreaming!
Johnny would say with a grin we would see the most terrifying thing as his entire subconscious world would bend to his every desire.
H: Hey, thank you two. I almost never get to lucid dream, but umm, y'all get to go.
He said as we were suddenly thrown out of his mind with ease, something that had never happened to us before. We looked at each other in shock as we realized…when a human takes control of their dream…they become all-powerful…. We made a vow to never try messing with dreams again just in case….
