Wife wants to play spark. What is the current top build for it?

Level 82 ice shot deadeye-- its been fun and I have probably 10 div invested. I do not enjoy how risky it can be. I am looking for a tankier build with damage.

Builds i am considering: deadrabbits Abyssal lich, captainlance monkey, any of the spark builds. I like shield wall, but now it falls off hard without investment.

I think I am going to run grenades wh or tactician supressing fire through campaign, and switch to gemling once the pros figure the build out.

People feeling good about merc? I don't need the OP 0.6 starter.
