GSIS Clearance
Hello!
I have recently resigned from my government position, and my agency has required me to submit a GSIS Clearance as part of the processing of my terminal leave benefits. I currently have no outstanding GSIS loans or other obligations to settle.
I would like to inquire on the following:
How long does it usually take to receive the GSIS Clearance after submission? I have already submitted my request through email. Will it be faster if I submit in-person or it’s the same?
May I request and obtain the GSIS Clearance even if my agency has not yet submitted my Application Form for Retirement/Separation/Life Insurance Benefits? (Due to agency’s personnel issues)
I also applied for the GSIS Clearance through the GSIS Touch mobile application; however, the request was cancelled. I have learned that some members have experienced the same issue. May I know the reason for the cancellation and whether there are any additional requirements or alternative procedures that I need to follow?
