Unusual Find Overseas
Hello, first time here, but I figured this would probably be the best place to ask. Im currently working overseas and found something interesting:
A 1980 FX Sturgis Shovelhead. On the left side of the tank was an emblem that read "Limited Edition Series II 58/1000". It had a kick start, but was missing a battery, the paint was chipping from age and it need some TLC with the wiring (again, from age). It has 42,000km (26,097.59 miles).
Would this be worth the hassle of importing back to the USA and restoring it to original or is it just a "LiMiTeD eDiTiOn" I can go ahead and make my own chopper out of?
For context: I was shopping for shovelheads so I could build my own chopper. I've owned triumph, kawasaki and honda bikes. I've ridden Harley, but I could never afford one until recently and decided to make my own chopper out of a shovelhead.
