Dropped 10+ points on NBME 15, exam in 9 days! Help!
Shooting for 250, recent NBME 15 got 227, got wrecked by timing and overthinking simple questions and fell into traps.
To add some context, I thought I was doing well with the studying/nbmes. Did most of the CMS forms and was definitely getting a little wrecked on them at first but averaging about 10-15 wrong on CMS forms rn (varies depending on the form, IM goes well but wrecked by surgery and OB usually)
Amboss: 68% (went through once but not all of incorrects)
NBME 13: 228
Old 120 2021 - 73%
NBME 14: 240 (was riding this high and started slacking off i think)
NBME 15 (yesterday): 227 [crushed me]
Anyone go from a sink to getting back on track in 9 days? I'm honestly really bad at reviewing I think so trying to leverage Chat rn to review fully. I barely reviewed the old forms, and need to do those this week but also have Amboss incorrects left. Should I target finishing my Amboss incorrects or reviewing the old nbmes?
My weakness seems to be overthinking questions and strategy. See alot of that repeatedly getting missed so working on being more decisive about my diagnosis.
Any other thoughts from those who salvaged their losses and hit that 250 in the final stretch?
