Is it just me, or was the Garden of Eden just a massive OSHA violation? 💀
Okay, so I’m a literature student preparing for my entrance and I just started Paradise Lost. I’m barely a few pages in and I already have beef with the plot.
Can we talk about the Tree of Knowledge for a second? 🍎
If God knew the fruit was "Forbidden" and "Dangerous" and would literally delete humanity’s "Perfect Life" subscription... WHY WAS IT JUST SITTING THERE? 😭
It’s giving: "Here is a giant red button that ends the world. Anyway, I'm going for a walk, don't press it! Kthxbye!"
Like, you’re telling me the Creator of the Universe can build the stars but can’t build a basic picket fence? No gate? No Caution: “Biohazard" tape? No password? Putting the forbidden snack right in the middle of the kitchen is literally baiting them to fail.
Is it just me, or was the Forbidden Fruit basically a divine trap for the plot's sake? Why create the "Danger Fruit" at all if you don't want people to eat it? The math isn't mathing.
Sincerely,
A very confused student who is about to fail this syllabus. 🤡
