Pilsner Urquell Restaurant at Prague Airport - asking for tips?

So I've recently visited Prague for the first time, and I must admit I visited with no expectations. However I love the place. Locals seem very friendly, and some of the architecture is stunning. Prices are also very reasonable. I will definitely be coming back.

But I did have one experience upon leaving which left me a little disappointed.

While waiting for my flight out of Prague I decided to have a couple of beers and a snack at the Pilsner Urquell restaurant. All fine at this point. And then the server brought the bill out, which was also fine.

When it came to payment the server asked "Would you like to pay an extra 10% service charge?" I responded with "no thanks" to which they tried to make me feel a bit uncomfortable by asking if they gave bad service.

I was a bit confused at this point and said that the service was fine. They said "you're just one of those people that doesn't tip, that's fine" before letting me pay the bill. Their customer service went downhill at this point and they soon disappeared without saying a word.

Is there an expectation to tip in Prague or was this server just being rude? I didn't experience this anywhere else in Prague.

Thought I'd stretch the iFly 737 MAX's legs on a flight over to Izmir. Upgraded my GPU from an RTX 3070 to an RX 9070 XT. It's buttery smooth so far, very impressed.
