Kobra 3 Max Printhead Replacement
I had to replace the print head on the Kobra 3 Max due to a failed board or something where the extruder motor wouldn’t spin. The new one is operating fine but I have an issue confusing me. When I insert the quick release nozzle and hotend assembly into the upper heat sink block, the hotend is loose and spinning freely. I can clamp the nozzle with the quick release handle to prevent spinning. However, the hotend (the part in between the nozzle and upper heat sink) has some up/down play and is free to spin. I had a print failure which I think was cause by this free spinning piece knocking the magnetic print head cover loose. I may have lost a piece during disassembly of the previous one. Can someone clarify how this assembly works.
EDIT: Alright I figured this out. The thermal sock locks it. Mine had fallen apart
