Is it typical for professors to not upload their syllabus before the first day? I’ve been enrolled in an online program since summer, and so far, I’ve only had 1 syllabus available well in advance before the first day. It’s just super frustrating because I would love to plan ahead. It’s also not always clear what the plan is for the textbook, and I don’t want to buy an online package for a book before I read the fine print of the class.

I’m clearly venting, but if someone actually knows about the syllabus process, I would love to hear about it.
