Rights to access house - QC
Common-law partners co-own a house and separate.
He has left the house while she and her child (solely her child) remain in the house.
He has made comments about taking things like certain appliances and household items. However, we have found online that a partner does not have access to keep house hold things without the consent of the other partner.
This weekend, she is leaving the house for an event out of town. He wants to come stay in the house while she is away. She does not want him in the house.
She is concerned about what he might take or what he might do and the impact on the child. She also has security concerns about if he will place certain recording devices or something similar.
What rights do both these people have? Or what steps need to be taken to continue with separation?
