Compensation after resignation
New to the teaching world. My wife just finished her school year. She is on a 9 month contract payed out over 12 months. She finished the school year. Submitted a resignation and will be switching to a different school system next year. My question is whether the contracts run for the school year (‘25/26) or per calendar year (01/01-12/31)? If it’s for the school year should she still get her paycheck through the summer since she finished out the school year?
