Years ago when I was 19 (I’m 28 now) I was caught stealing earrings, I was arrested for theft under 5000 and completed the diversion program in Ontario Canada. I’m a Canadian citizen as well I reside in Ontario Canada. Technically I have no criminal record as it was withdrawn through the diversion program. I had to accept responsibility for my actions and also had my finger prints and photos taken, my concern is, will I have ever have any trouble travelling anywhere? Should I consider destroying my finger prints and photos and the record of the arrest? My main concern is going to USA. And any other countries where this could be problematic (China, Japan, etc.)
