Difference btw Crux 5 Expert & Comp worth the $2500?

Looking for help evaluating the diff between the expert and comp crux 5 models and what you’re buying for that extra $2,500 USD. Also trying to figure out where most of the weight difference comes from. I’m a very lightweight rider so the weight is proportionally more important to me but…seems like there could be ways to overcome that for less than $2,500.
Obv differences seem to be:
- Force vs Rival xplr E1 groupset: can someone tell a historically Shimano gal if there’s a significant difference here? Sounds like a weight penalty of maybe 200g with the rival. Are the blip buttons important?
- Wheels: this seems like the most significant source of weight and price difference (DT Swiss G500 on the comp vs roval terra c III on the expert). I’d plan to use a nice carbon wheelset I already have and while I do plan to eventually get a second wheelset, the Roval Terra CIII probably wouldn’t be what I would buy if purchasing outright.
- Expert has a carbon roval terra handlebar vs some “adventure gear” one on the comp.
Am I missing something here? Seems to me like you could get a fancy one-piece cockpit and sexy deep dish carbon wheels for that $2,500 price difference…Is there anything to convince me that the expert level is worth buying over the comp??

Carbon wheelset for 2x8 bike

I’m helping my friend upgrade his gravel bike with some quality carbon wheels that won’t break the bank. I’m thinking one of the popular Chinese brands. Rides mostly road and prob looking for wheels around 19-25mm internal width. He’s looking to spend around $6-700 for a set but would consider going a little higher if he could use them on a better bike in the future.

I’m not sure if this upgrade is even possible with his bike specs without significant modifications or worth it but want to see what his options might be.

TL;DR: Looking for budget carbon wheelset for this bike:

Specs I know: Marin Nacasio model circa around 2017, Shimano Claris 2x8 drivetrain, HG spline hubs, quick release, disk brakes, 6-bolt.

Specs I think: front = 100mm x9mm QR; rear = 135mm x 10mm QR
