I booked an Emirates ticket through a third-party website because it was cheaper. Later, I noticed that there is a typo in my last name on the ticket (one letter is incorrect).

I called Emirates, and they told me that the travel website needs to request the correction. However, my flight is in less than 24 hours, and the website says they cannot make any changes anymore. When I called Emirates back and explained this, they said they do not have the authority to change the name themselves because the booking was made through a third party.

Has anyone been in a similar situation? Will Emirates allow boarding if there is only a one-letter typo in the surname, or is there anything else I can do at this point?
