Independent Pharmacy vs Costco Pharmacy (Canada)

Hi! I’m looking for advice. I currently work at Costco Pharmacy as an pt assistant, I refill prescriptions, answer phone calls and do some clerical work, often pulled into cash register, I’ve been in the company for over 2 years now. The pay is okay (can’t complain) but the promises to be trained to drop-off and blister packing and bump in to the next pay raise was due last year, and honestly some of the co-workers are bullies and it’s taking a toll on my mental health. Recently, I had an interview with a locally owned pharmacy, they offered $2 more than what I currently make at Costco. The job description itself is what an assistant usually does. They are willing to train even with little to no experience.

I am just torn right now if I should leave my current job due to the stability of work and future bonuses. I have heard a lot of good things about workinh for an independent pharmacy, but my concern is about the stability and structure of pay.

Any advice?

Can you return to LPT?

Hi. Was hired as LPT/CSRP while I was studying for the last 2 years.

So backstory… I asked my manager for more hours after I’m finished with school, and explained my situation regarding my schedule (kids, and husband’s work). At that time manager was reassuring and said as long as I can close 2-3t times a week, and send my availability in advance.
Manager has changed my position from LPT to RPT. The thing is, the scheduling is out of wack, and I was told I needed to work 5 times a week, plus the days I’m available to close, I don’t work and the days manager scheduled me to close I can’t close.

I have talked to manager about this, and was told “I can’t work around your schedule, find someone to trade” but I caaaaan’t.

My question is can I ask to go back to LPT?
