Signs of future expansion from search results?

If you go to the Waymo app and try to search for a location, it will give you results that are grayed out because it doesn't serve that place. But crucially, it's not just everything on Earth, or even everything in a certain radius from you.

Results for SF Bay Area:

  • Alameda County:
    • coast
    • Dublin & Pleasanton
    • not Livermore
  • Contra Costa County:
    • coast up to Rodeo
    • nothing inland
  • most of Marin County (but no other North Bay counties)
  • coast of San Mateo County
  • Santa Clara County:
    • everything except Gilroy (but it does include Morgan Hill)
  • Santa Cruz County (Waymo doesn't even have DMV permission there!)

Can you please try this and tell me whether you get the same thing?

Waymo now has two active lobbyists listed in the state lobbyist register: https://www2.jlec-olig.state.oh.us/olac/Reports/Employers/9826/Agents

Both of them list Waymo near the bottom of their employers' lists, indicating that they didn't start lobbying for Waymo until very recently. In this Wayback machine snapshot from February 2026 of one of the lobbyist's pages [https://web.archive.org/web/20260217181403/https://www2.jlec-olig.state.oh.us/olac/Reports/Agents/8850/Employers\], Waymo is at the very bottom, indicating it was added in January or February.
