Update on my Monsterverse Display

For whatever reason the last time I tried to upload these pictures they didn’t send, here’s hoping it actually goddamn works this time.

Rate my Hiya Monsterverse display shelf

In about a week and a half I move to my new apartment, where I’ll have to rearrange my entire setup. I figured I might as well post the display here before I pack it up for the move.

I do plan to eventually expand the display over multiple shelves with lighting and more effects and backdrops, but it’s a long (expensive) process.

If you’re curious about anything regarding the display, or have any notes on displaying or posing them better feel free to ask or let me know! Also yes there is a big whole next to Shimo where Skar King would go whenever he starts shipping

The Hiya Ghidorah 2.0 is such an improvement over the 1.0 it’s astounding + pictures

As a person who has owned all three Monsterverse Ghidorah figures, in my opinion the 2.0 is leaps and bounds ahead of both the 1.0 release and the gravity beam release.

The material it’s made out of being a softer plastic helps so much in making me want to take him off of my shelf and pose him, unlike the 1.0 which was a chore to play with. He feels far less limited and it makes me worry a hell of a lot less, allowing for some really dynamic posing. Basically any pose he hits in KOTM can be successfully and accurately recreated with the 2.0, including flying poses.

The paint job is improved tremendously in comparison to the 1.0. My biggest complaint with the 1.0 (bar the neck articulation) is his paint job being too bright and yellow, this version of him feels far more intimidating and accurate. The eyes in particular stand out tremendously well and the semi-translucent plastic makes a really great effect under the right lighting (see the first picture).

If you have the 1.0 and are debating getting the 2.0, don’t. I sold my 1.0 for the 2.0 and as you can see it was a fantastic decision. I would HIGHLY recommend getting this thing, it has easily become my absolute favorite Hiya figure by far.
