Hi, I'm 21 year old male, and I recently asked a girl out on Instagram, but she hasn't seen the message and I sent it a week ago.

Quick background: I reconnected with a friend from childhood on Insta and she agreed to meet me in person to catch up. A week ago, I sent a message offering to take her on a date, but she hasn't even seen the message as it says "Sent x days ago". We've messaged back and forth weeks prior, so I'm not sure what to make of this. It could be that her college semester is wrapping up with finals so she's busy, or she might not check Insta very much.

I know that that's not a lot to go off of, but any advice you can give would be appreciated.
