Unearth - Eyes of Black (“Darkness In the Light” Turned 15 yesterday)
This came out my senior year of undergrad, which means I am old now.
Anyway I missed this anniversary yesterday but I love Unearth and will always post them when I get a chance.

I’m in southeastern MA. I see these things on the ground and in a tree near my house. The “Seek” app says it’s some sort of “gall wasp” but it doesn’t look like a wasp to me (but I’m not an expert.) Is it some sort of wasp-produced fungus?
Deathcore / Metalcore / Melodeath whatever you want to call it, this album rules.

Drowning Pool's debut-album "Sinner" turns 25 today! R.I.P. Dave Williams. I got the single "Bodies" as a promotional item when I placed an order from either CSS or Dan's Comp magazine.
Just sharing something positive.
I had to call a painter recently to get a quote. The guy sounded EXACTLY like Spade. Everything. Same tone of voice. Same style of dictation. Same manner of speaking. I don't know if all northeastern painters sound the same, but it made me so happy to talk to this guy. Felt like being on the pod.
Obviously not a post about Attleboro but I think this qualifies as the "local community."
What happened to Tremont St. in Rehoboth? Driving from the split from 118 (where Attleboro Rehoboth Builders is) all the way until the Cross St. intersection is the most ridiculous asphalt job I've ever seen.
There are giant rectangular asphalt patches haphazardly and seemingly arbitrarily strewn up and down that stretch of road in both lanes. Sometimes it's the entire lane. Sometimes it's just a square. There's also asphalt-stained tire tracks all over the place?
The road seemed to be in perfect shape. Then a few weeks ago a road crew just dumped asphalt everywhere hahaha.
Anyway I just don't get it. Sorry if someone posted about it earlier. I drive down that road every day and I wanted to know if anybody had any idea what was going on.
I’m in Southeastern MA. The last few weeks I’ve noticed a ton of these little floofly seed pod things flying around. There were so many of them this morning. What are they from? What plant? Does anyone know?
I assumed they were from dandelions but they’re bigger.
******EDIT: I’m not “pocket watching” I was asking a genuine question. God I hate the internet.
******EDIT 2: my question is answered in the below episode of “Are You Garbage?” in great detail. Hilarious listen thank you to the user who suggested it in the comments.

Does the McCusker family have a monopoly over waste management in PA?
A quick caveat here is that I listen to way too much of this show. I was top 3% of listeners last year on Spotify. Ten thousand-plus minutes of MSSP. I'm not proud of that. I should be listening to audio books or otherwise trying to self-improve. It's just that we had a kid last year so I was kinda just stuck with a newborn for countless hours. Listened to the dawgs to stay sane. They absolutely helped me through a very difficult period of life.
Anyway a recurring theme I've noticed between Warmode and MSSP is that seemingly all McCusker stories about school, work, etc. inevitably end in the phrase "...then I (or he) just said screw that, I'll just go drive trash trucks." This isn't just as it relates to Billy and Matt. It's their extended family as well. Like they've got an endless treasure trove of trash truck-driving uncles.
That type of thing was never an option for me growing up. Like I didn't have a fall-back option of a trash truck with my name on it. Do they have a family business? Are they the Sopranos of PA?
This is a truly trivial question but I've long pondered it.
To clarify I don't "look down" on trash truck drivers or any sort of labor. It's just such a funny, specific, recurring, profession that they mention.
