what do you think i should do in this situation?
I’m an 18-year-old guy and literally yesterday I went to a friend’s 18th birthday party, where a lot of people were invited. At the party there was a girl I’ve known for a long time; she’s about 2 years younger than me and I find her very attractive and cute.
At one point, while we were watching the video dedicated to the birthday boy, when everyone was turned around, I sat next to her and, very nonchalantly and with a bit of courage, I put my hand on her thigh. It would have been a great story if it ended there, but unfortunately she made a not very convinced face, took my hand, and moved it away.
After a few cigarettes outside the place, I went up to her and told her I was a bit drunk and apologized while hugging her (I wasn’t drunk, I just used that as an excuse). She told me nothing happened and not to worry, and we started talking again as before.
From this point another problem arises. I know her friend and we are very good friends; I tried to hit on her some time ago. Also recently, before all this happened, I was talking to her friend almost every day as if we were a couple. Now we talk much less precisely because I like the girl from the party.
What do you think I should do? Should I keep texting the girl from the party or drop it because it will never work?
I’m afraid she might reject me just because I used to try with her friend and she might see that as wrong.
Finally, I also thought, from how she looked at me and her behavior, that maybe she thinks everything happened too fast and she just needs some time before anything like that can happen.
Do you think I should start texting her every day?
she will agree?
