It's weird to see random pictures of real people here, this feels wrong for me

Hear me out, but there has to be a better way.

Over the last few days/weeks i noticed more "private" pics. Maybe it's different for USA citizens, I am from Europe - but it feels wrong to see these people having their pictures unknowingly shared with so many people.

I remember some drug addicts pictures with a woman in the background giving herself a needle in the background. It did not look like she even knew the picture was taken. The pictures were deemed real - which then would mean that thousands of people saw her doing that.

Sure, I know addiction (especially with needles) is horrific. That we need to help addicts.

But it's also heavily stigmatized and there is a lot of guilt and shame that comes with it.

Nobody would want to have these pictures of themselves publicly posted and shared with thousands, if not more.

I recently noticed a lot of random normal pictures - a woman in a subway, someone sitting on his porch probably, selfies etc.

I also wouldn't want to have random pictures of me shared here, although there's room to argue about that if the pictures were posted on insta e.g.

It's a dilemma somehow, because there are also lots of people that want to prove to their aunt/dad/granny they are getting scammed.

Maybe we can take down posts if they are voted not AI by a certain number of people?

The way it is now doesn't sit right with me.
