WV flooding going viral- Mudslide on the mountain seems misplaced, water movement looks unnatural.

My mother sent me this photo off of facebook or instagram. She’s from West Virginia and wasn’t doubting this photo until she sent it to me. I think it looks unnatural compared to the Hurricane Helene flooding that occurred in North Carolina. This photo seems too polished and the lights are on in the flood? If someone could verify just so my mother can calm down.

Is this Congressional candidate's sign AI? The handwriting looks really off.

This is a photo that Jamie Joyce (congressional candidate in CA) posted on the r/berkeleyca sub during an AMA. I believe the picture of her is real, but the sign looks super AI to me. I think she might have taken a selfie and then asked ChatGPT to generate a pic of her holding up a sign. The handwriting in particular looks AI generated, not to mention the fact of how weird it is that she presumably typed the "Hey Berkeley", printed it out, and then handwrote the rest.

I asked about it on the AMA thread, and I got downvoted, and I also had Joyce reply to me and say it's real. But idk, I just thought about it again today and the sign still looks AI.

My friend commissioned an image from an artist and we're a bit concerned about if it's ai.

She paid for this art for her book, and I suggested we ask the professionals since it immediately seemed sus to her. Points of concern she raised are the dog's collar being so strange looking and the faces of the characters looking like they have a lot of makeup on.

Some things that stand out to me personally are the strings on the hoodie being so straight when he's not standing, the inconsistent spacing of the planks on the headboard, and the doggos back leg being bent a bit oddly considering he's lying down.

Edit: Thank you to everyone who has commented. The consensus seems to be that the artist has painted over / altered an ai image. My friend will be attempting to seek a refund from Fiverr or halt the charge with her bank. Either way, she won't be using them again. Thank you all!

Are my schools posters ai it's horns look off some of the people look like there melting into each other etc

Hi hello I wanna ask are my schools posters ai not only do the rams horns look off but a poster in the bathroom has the same character but with one eyebrow and also has its back towards the mirror yet it shows his front facing reflection, and in this poster it also looks like some are fading I wish I could show the rest but I hope it fits (the Red scribbles are for privacy reasons)

Edit:to anyone asking how this isn't obvious I'm sorry I'm an artist myself but still struggle to tell sometimes and I know AI is trained off of actual art styles so I wasn't completely sure if it wasn't just a artstyle thingy

is this art AI? art from a relatively new artist account i found on twitter

i found this artist on twitter that only recently started posting(only this august), and before i started supporting them, i wanna make sure that they aren’t just one of those accounts that churn out slop.

i can’t see any discrepancies or indicators that their works may be ai, but the faces just look so… off(especially in the first 2 images). ai adjacent, dare i say. not to mention that they only upload slightly blurry/low quality image. i cant shake the feeling that their art is ai generated, or at the very least, ai assisted.

Is this person chatting up my friend a real person or AI? I think AI, too ‘perfect’

They’ve been chatting for a bit, but I’ve been rolling my eyes. Lol Maybe I’m wrong though? It all seems on the edge of made up. He’s a pilot. He dresses like James Bond. It’s just a lot. This was the pic he sent as ‘proof’ but to me even his handwriting is too ‘perfectly average’. A lot of his pictures seem like he was traveling around with a professional photographer? It just seems so FAKE but I can’t prove it. Help!

Are these paintings AI? Mum and I are on the fence and would love to hear opinions from a 3rd party.

My mum bought 2 (prints actually) of two paintings. One of the paintings features a boy and idk he has the uncanny valley smile that's common in AI paintings which made me suspect that they both may be AI. Also, the subjects of the painting are right in the middle and staring right into my soul lol. That also to me is a bit of an AI art feature. idk perhaps the artist used an AI image for reference and then sold prints? Anyway, my mum thinks these are not AI and we keep disagreeing. Would love to see what people think here.

Edit: My mum is pissed...AT ME...for saying it's AI lmaoooo

Is this shirt I bought AI? I got it from an Etsy seller and I feel like I was duped

I have a strong suspicion that it’s AI because aside from that indescribable AI feel, some of the butterflies are merging with leaves, her hair is merging with her cloak, and her left arm is hiding behind her torso which seems weird to me

Edit: Here’s the Etsy link

Is this video of an elephant crushing a crocodile ai? My wife and I can't agree.

In general a strange action for an elephant to do, especially using it's mouth to throw the crocodile around. The crocodile's tail also looks laughably flat when lifted up. But still can't spot anything to guarantee above any doubt that it's AI, so throwing it to public option.

Account that posted the video is made to look like a popular Twitter account for animal sightings in the Kruger national park (but does not state that is is affiliated/related to popular the account) .

Images I found on Twitter, “free adoptable raffle” characters. Is this real? (I doubt it is)

The Twitter account got nuked or deactivated by the owner, so I won’t link the source.

When I first saw these, I didn‘t look at them too closely and entered the raffle, before reverting it after a VTuber artist whose name I can’t remember pointed out that these were likely AI generated in the replies.

Also, I would like to note that I am an artist myself, I know (somewhat) how to spot AI generated images, I know what I’m talking about.

I made a thread dissecting these images on my private twitter account, so let me repeat the things I said there and add a few things:

— New artist shows up out of nowhere with no accounts connecting to the username (which I won’t list as some people would likely be compelled to harass them, which would only make things worse!) and no/very small backlog of past art

There was an “old art” post that got no attention, but that also could have been generated and/or traced from AI. I don’t count a single image claiming to be old art as proof. There was also a $70 USD Chibi adoptable that got some attention, but not much.

The images 4, 5 and 6 are me dissecting the photos, so let me explain why i Red Outlined it:

GAL 1

The first thing that stuck out to me was the hair. I am an artist myself who has seen many AI images to train myself on how to spot them, and let me tell you: AI does NOT know how hair works. The hair is a melty mess, with looping hairstrands galore (though you can argue that her hair is simply curly).

The bow on the left side of the image looks like its missing the other half, or its going behind her hair, which wouldn’t make much sense.

One hand has 3 fingers when the other has 4. This error is present in Gal 2 as well.

Also, the clover is. Going over a line??? I don’t think it should be doing that. Also, the spacing of the clovers is inconsistent.

GAL 2

3 fingers on one hand, 4 on the other.

Ruffles on shorts are melting/make no sense.

I didn’t redline it because of it possibly being intentional, but the stockings stripes aren’t symmetrical at all.

Eyelashes melting into hair somewhat on the left side (not outlined because I didn’t immediately notice it until I made the face closeups)

The pink flower things don’t make any sense to be here, and the tiny one is MELTING.

Inconsistent detailing on the shoes (one has a buckle while the other doesn’t, bows aren’t equally detailed)

GAL 3

Legs are broken! So very broken! She’s in pain, save her!

One eyebrow has 2 lines when the other has 1.

Her tail disappears behind her leg, and her sweater collar disappears behind her necklace. Generative AI has an issue with object permanence.

Also, she has heavier shadows than the other 2 girls.

The second to last image is to compare the faces. Tell me: for reasons other than the brush, do these look like one person drew these? With the multiple eyebrows and how different the eye rendering is, I’d have to say no. Not one person would draw these eyes all so differently.

The final image is a few of the faces I have drawn recently, about 3 weeks ago? It exists to compare the two, to compare AI to human. You can see the faces have CONSISTENCY. Outside of the eye shines. You can tell “hey someone made all of those!”, which you can’t with the likely AI ones.

Also, I suspect a LoRA was used in making this, given the slightly consistent art style. If someone could tell me which artist the hypothetical LoRA was trained off of, please inform me! I would greatly appreciate it, because this is a very charming art style!

Anyways, does anyone agree that these are AI? Or am I just nitpicking??

u/Funny_Scarcity9104 — 1 day ago

Is this AI? I’m suspicious because of that weird line of squares floats up off the ground and into the air about 5 seconds in (pics in comments). If it isn’t AI, does anyone know what stadium this is?

Points in favor of it being AI: this is soooo many bugs, it’s anti-bug propaganda, the weird bar of shapes that floats up (pics in comments), and the lack of good resolution

Points against it being AI: many insects love lights, I don’t see any spelling or pattern mistakes on the signs/bleachers, it’s a nighttime video which usually have terrible quality anyway

Dreamworld (Australian theme park) announced a new ride that cost $20 million and the reveal concept images seem to have out of place items

Link to Facebook post:
https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14n33KE6dU2/

Things that look off to me:

  • Handles on ride look inconsistent
  • Random floating pickaxe
  • Rollercoaster track loop seems to be loop into itself

EDIT: Seems like everyone agrees that it's AI. Shame they went this route :/

Are these pics someone took of my lost dog Ai? If so that is insanely cruel

The first pic is the legitimate photo of my dog that ran away several days ago. The other two are from someone who said they found her. They wouldn’t give an exact address and asked for a 25 dollar Amazon gift card.

Saw on FB, retrieving sharp needles and a worm seem unusual. I secretly hope this is real though

I hope this is not a repeat upload, if yes - I'm sorry, please point to previous discussion.

Biting giraffe's skin by a bird should have triggered some reflexes but I see nothing.
Also, needles AND a worm picked by the bird.

I dunno, what do you think ?

Artist claiming this portrait was doodled by them with no AI - got attacked when saying it's blatant AI

So in a discord server someone posted this art saying it's a portrait they doodled, but it looks really ai to me, the weird blocks, feet and hands are also uncanny. I pointed that out and got blasted in the discord with everyone defending the artist

Local Band T-shirt. I’ve spoken with the band members before and they say it isn’t AI and was from a local artist but I just can’t be certain.

Reasons mainly being the hands to be honest: theyre really inconsistent and the bean mouths show up often with “cartoon” prompts.

People are arguing in the comments of this facebook post in our local group; mayor is very progressive.

I can’t tell if this Artist is using AI. I really like the art but there are inconsistencies, especially the hands.

I really like their art. I was looking to see if they had any speed paints to see their process but they only had speed paints of their sweets on their page. Don’t get me wrong there is so much skill especially in the speed paint they showed, so it seems, but there are inconsistencies. The first photo really showcases that with the odd hand, I’m just not sure if this is drawn or ai.

Edit: Wow, so many mixed reactions. As an artist myself, I can completely get the “hands are hard to draw” argument. I completely agree, they really are. The first image really showcased that rough hand. I think I probably would’ve changed line weight there, it feels too thick and separated from the rest of the hand. As I said in another comment, I really like the art and style of this artist. Their art is pretty consistent throughout their pixiv and X. The only real inconsistency is their dessert art, which they have speed paints for. I like the idea that they are a dessert artist and still improving on their human art work. I was thinking maybe they used Ai as a tool of some sort, came here looking for answers. If you like this artist or would like to check out their work here is their Pixiv and X. Pixiv** **

I am a wrongly accused artist from this sub. I have never used AI in any of my art.

I am the artist in mentioned in a post here. I can’t believe I have to say this but I do not use ai at all, in ANY capacity. It’s extremely disheartening someone reposted my art on a different platform asking for opinions of hundreds of complete strangers dissecting my work like a piece of meat if it is ai or not.

I have never and will never use AI. I am a full time student who works part time, art is something I do for fun. I do not do it professionally, and fit time in my busy schedule to draw as a hobby. I am human and any mistakes in my art are human mistakes. I try out different styles, and have strengths and weaknesses in different areas.

I’m so disappointed right now that someone would assume the worst without even asking me directly.

To the person who made the original Reddit post: I demand an apology. You never even bothered to ask me directly, but instead reposted my art (which I have never allowed) on a platform I barely use, for over a hundred of strangers to harass and insult my integrity and work without my knowledge. I would’ve never even had known about any of this if not for a follower notifying me. I had to read each comment that was insulting me, ppl zooming into every pixel I drew, just so I could make sure that any misunderstandings could be clearly addressed.

Even when I made a comment posting proof, it got buried under the hundred of comments trying to claim it’s ai. If it were not for the subreddit owner helping me, I wouldn’t be able to defend my self because my account karma is not enough to make a separate post.

I have posted speed paints for each “accused” work. There are clarifying explanations in the comment section for each post for any suspicions I’ve seen in this thread. Again, no ai or tracing was used in any capacity, and I use ibispaint so there are no hidden layer option when downloading speedpaints. i am human and make human mistakes.

Speedpaint 1: https://x.com/sp_oreoo/status/2089817891801538904?s=46

Speedpaint 2: https://x.com/sp_oreoo/status/2089825421323899001?s=46

Speedpaint 3: https://x.com/sp_oreoo/status/2089817938668724357?s=46

Speedpaint 4: https://x.com/sp_oreoo/status/2059276648734736566/video/1?s=46

Please think twice before posting real artists here. It is extremely hurtful to see your work reposted without permission, scrutinized, and insulted. Anyone in my community knows me and my art. I will be deleting my pixiv shortly because I do not trust outsiders to look at my art anymore.

The longer I look at it the more I feel like it’s AI. Especially the cart wheel looks odd.

Especially the cart wheel looks odd. There are also artifacts at the clouds next to the beginning of the text but it could also be bad photoshop? Some background details are not identifiable but I’m not sure if it’s just because they get too small.

Found it on Instagram, store is named middleerathartstore.

Any mir hints appreciated
