My (42f) son is 15 and he never initiates any hugs, and when I do try to hug him he acts super weird about it. He'll trying to fight me off, acting gross out over it, sometimes runs away as a joke, or just not really reciprocating it. If I do get to hug him it's just me hugging, while he's just standing there awkwardly begging for me to let go.

I'm sure it's probably a dumb boy thing, but he isn't going to look weak or anything. Why can't my son hug his own mother? If he were to even initiate then it would mean the world to me. He's 15 but he's still my baby at the end of the day and always will be.

I'm not asking for much here. He's my son who I've been raising and I love him. Aita?
