Why does valve handle things so weird

When it comes to abandons, they do a great job in dota 2 where you don't lose any elo if you start a game without a teammate and he doesn't rejoin in 5 minutes. But in CS2 you're screwed.

Simlarly in CS2 you have the option to only select regions afar from you if you also queue in your region, but in dota you're given a checkbox for each region. So in Dota people from random regions can force queue into your region even-though they don't speak English.

Also I'm sure many of you disagree with me, but the playerbase is spread too thin, I'm tired of getting 15k elo players and 2k elo players. It would just help if they rename competitive to casual and get rid of casual. I also don't like that premier isn't just a random map like valorant, I rarely get to play nuke or anubis and when I do, there's always 2-3 guys complaining how they don't know the map. Having a random map every game would fix this.

What am I supposed to do in games like these?

I have ~300 hours and it feels like a waste of 30 mins when this happens. As much as it seems like a chance to learn to play good CS, it just ends up being a stomp. Why does this exist? Is there some way to opt out?
