Best Route Planner for a Camper Van?
I'm new to this group, so I'm sorry if this question has already been asked and answered. I just got a 2026 Winnebago Solis 95P that is just under 20' long and the specs indicate it's 9' 6" tall. My immediate need is to figure out the best route from Florida to Rhode Island. When I travel in my SUV, I pretty much take route 95 N, getting off in a couple of spots like going around Richmond, Washington, and I take the Garden State Parkway and New Jersey turnpike. Otherwise, it's Rt 95. I don't believe my normal route will work since I'll be carrying propane, and I'm not thrilled about all the crazy traffic as I get up into northern Virginia and further north. I just got the van and still need to get used to it and would prefer a less stressful route.
Overall, having a reliable route planner would help me map out my primary route, while also giving me piece of mind should I have to find a detour route. I have a Garmin GPS, but it's not programmed for RVs. I think I'd also like something I can actually assist in planning out my routes, rather than just plug in addresses and letting the GPS make all those decisions for me. Thoughts/Recommendations?
