Anyone can loan or rent me timing tools for my 03 msport 540i. Need to retime it, just did chains and got p0011 with the cheap tools. I’m in MD !

Car used to start fine then it only started with me putting gear in neutral and then starting. Now it doesn’t start. Here are my symptoms.

Symptoms:
PRND shows on the cluster, but no letter highlights.
PRND does not change when moving the shifter.
No reverse lights accessory position on.
Car won’t start in Park or Neutral.
Shifter moves normally the orange light is lit next to the gear but dash cluster just shows PRND static.

Also weird I tried to put car in neutral. Key to acc 2, shift knob directed on neutral & orange light lit next to neutral however, car doesn’t roll back at all. It’s like it’s stuck in park. Idk? But advice greatly appreciated!
