P4 to M4 - what’s the benefit?
Hi all! No one is a stranger to a reorg but recently this is bringing some chatter and I guess an “opportunity” to become a people leader. Potentially looking to go from a P4 to an M4. Is there any benefit to this at all? Can I expect some more compensation or am I just going to be given the title and more work? I’m very hesitant because it feels like I’m barely making it work just as an individual contributor, so trying to lead others and taking care of their needs seems very daunting. I already do “lead” this group, but as a peer, so I’m comfortable with them, but it was always nice to not have to take care of the bigger issues. I would also like to take care of myself, so I’m trying to understand if this is something I can and should take on right now.
