Waiting for interview result

Sharing my interview timeline experience while waiting on job decision/offer.
3/31 - Applied to the position
4/1 - Received questionnaires from TA
4/7 - Interview with HM
5/18 - Follow up interview (there was internal change that resulted hiatus)
5/21 - Job req greyed out on Workday, but application still under review

Asked what would the timeline would look like for this position and the manager told me that she’s trying to wrap this up within 1-2 weeks.

Really hoping to hear from them soon!

Referral

I referred someone into a position with a referral bonus. The person got an interview but they applied with another email (not the referral email).

Am I SOL with a bonus if they get hired?

Weighing my options

Hello guys! I’m currently in the Army serving as a 14E as a Thaad Operator/Maintainer and I now have 15 months until ETS and this is around the time where I need to start seeing whats there for me. Now, i’m not gonna make my final decision based off of this but I wanted to see some insight from people who transitioned out the Army into Raytheon and was it worth it for them.

How was the lifestyle change?

Is the salary worth it?

If I choose this path, what things would I need to have a better resume?

Was the choice you made worth it to you?

RTX Hr services= Joke

RTX hr service is a joke. They do NOT care about your concerns.

Here is the situation..

I wanted to raise a concern about leadership behavior within the team. There appears to be favoritism, where certain employees are given more attention or are listened to more than others based on personal relationships rather than work-related matters. There have also been situations where the manager socializes heavily and drinks with subordinates outside of work, which has made some employees uncomfortable and raised concerns about professionalism and fairness in the workplace.

Several people have already brought these concerns to HR, but many feel the issues have not really been addressed. I wanted to ask whether this type of behavior is considered acceptable within the company culture, and whether there are any expectations or boundaries in place regarding managers socializing with direct reports in that way.

Lastly, I want to see how toxic of a culture this has created for some. Again, the HR gives zero fucks.. its here to protect the manager.

P2 PTO Negotiation

Got an offer for a P2 role at Raytheon, asked for 160 hrs pto instead of 120 and was told by the recruiter that PTO isn’t adjustable.

I’ve seen others in this sub successfully negotiate more PTO so I thought I’d try, adding a data point for others, everyone should always try though!

Recently got a job offer

I recently got a job offer from Raytheon for an entry level systems engineer position! It is at their Tewksbury MA campus. I was wondering if people who work there or live around there can give me some information about the job campus or the surrounding area? Things like what the area is like, cost of living, fun things to do, etc would be super helpful! Thank you in advance

Just started remote internship, really want to take advantage of the free office chair opportunity but unsure

As mentioned in the title, I just started my remote internship and really want to take advantage of the free chair offer that comes after completing the ergonomics assessment. My current chair kinda (really) sucks when used for a full work day.

The biggest concern is my manager not being too fond of me asking for a chair as from what I understand it comes out of my assigned departments budget and I'm ultimately shooting for a return offer and wouldn't want this to hurt my chances. I also wouldn't mind a standing desk but seeing as I'm an intern that seems insane to ask for. Has anyone had a similar experience with this?

Timekeeping

Switching from Heritage Raytheon to Collins. Was told I have to work both sides 50/50 during a transition period, however there’s no way to charge on the Collins side yet. I was also told I can only charge one side. What do I do and who do reach out to? Management on both ends seems to not have the answers. HR? Timekeeping?

volunteer conflict of interest while waiting for clearance?

New to this sub, sorry for the inconvenience. Already talked to everyone I knew at Raytheon, my clearance officer said they don't know and directed me to hiring manager, my hiring manager said it is up to me but would give me a conflict of interest.

I recently accepted an offer at Raytheon, submitted my SF86 but interim clearance is not granted, meaning I would have to wait for full clearance. Interestingly, an organization (Defense Tech for Ukraine) I applied two months ago reached out to invite me as a volunteer. I'm a huge fan of Raytheon and honestly don't want to lose this job, but also want to contribute to Ukraine's freedom. Has anyone deal with simular things before? Can I work voluntarily for Defense Tech for Ukraine before I officially join Raytheon?

Is AIP always prorated for a promotion?

Was recently promoted effective 4/1 as part of the normal merit cycle. AIP went from 5% to 15%. I've heard some on here say that means I'll get 3 months at the 5% and then 9 months at the 15% rate, so an effectively 12.5%. Is there any manager discretion on that? Any chance I can get the full 15%?

Thank you!

Non-Security Clearance Jobs Question

The roles that don’t require security clearances have the same medical marijuana restrictions as the ones that do require security clearances? Asking specifically for Raytheon in Arizona.

Interview Wait

Hey! How long would you wait for an interview decision or a very few words back before you assume it was just a no? I interviewed for a recent grad position at Raytheon about 1 month ago, and I have heard very few updates regarding it. A recruiter got back to me about 5 days after the interview and asked some additional questions, but nothing after that.

Onboarding and Start Dates

I accepted an offer last week with a tentative start date in late June. In my onboarding portal, the background check, drug test, and conflict of interest are all green and marked as complete. My US Person Verification is marked as "In Progress" and has one task assigned to HR that is labeled as "Suspended"; I went to my in-person appointment last week.

How likely is it that my tentative state date becomes my actual start date? I'm trying to plan my relocation and putting in my 2 weeks at my current job but it's difficult when I don't know how long onboarding will take.

Interdivisional transfer process

For those who have gone through an interdivisional transfer within RTX, say Collins to PW, what does the offboarding and onboarding process actually look like?
Specifically I’m trying to understand:
* Do you use the resign feature in Workday or is that only for leaving RTX entirely?
* Do you keep your current laptop or turn it in?
* Is there a formal checklist or procedure to follow when transitioning between business units?
* Any paperwork fill or steps I should be aware of that aren’t obvious?
Any guidance from those who’ve been through it would be really helpful. Thanks

Phone/device policies at Collins Aerospace

Hey everyone,

I’ll be joining Collins Aerospace in Sterling, VA this summer (SEPP Engineering Intern, Summer 2026) working on Mission Systems and had a quick question about device policies/workplace restrictions.

How strict are things generally regarding phones/personal devices inside the office? Are phones usually allowed at your desk for normal use during the day, or are there restricted areas where devices aren’t permitted at all?

I know it probably depends on the program/building/security level, but I just wanted to get a general sense of what to expect at Collins/RTX sites, especially in Sterling.

Thanks!

Anyone do the Systems Eng Masters with John Hopkins?

I’m an electrical engineer with an interest in getting a masters. I’m a bit stuck between wanting an EE masters or a sys eng masters.

Can anyone who’s done the sys eng program tell me what the program was like? Was the cost completely covered? How was the workload in addition to full-time work? What career outcomes came from completing the program?

I’m having a call with an admissions person from JHU on Tuesday, and I have some basic questions I want to ask. I just want to know if anyone has done the program and has any insight.

My last job wouldn’t fund a masters (or very heavily discouraged me from applying) so I’m very excited to continue my education!

Raytheon Onboarding - Processing my clearance again??

Hey guys,

Working through onboarding but I finished all the initial tasks (I.e. background check/drug test/I-9 etc etc). Curiously though, I got an email about confirming my citizenship and fingerprinting for a clearance.

The problem is, wouldn’t the I-9 appointment where I showed my US passport have confirmed my citizenship? And I already have the necessary active clearance from the military so why are they wanting to start another investigation?

Emailed the individual back and called later on to no avail. Any advice? Is this the process for all hires regardless of having an active clearance?

Thanks in advance!

Edit: I only ask as I would rather not push my start date out too long for the clearance investigation due to my situation at home. It’s not that it’s a huge bother to me only seeing if I can eliminate some hurdles
